Domestic manufacture

Volga Strap, OOO is the first Russian high-tech company to produce high-tensile steel strap manufactured in accordance with world regulations and standards. The strap has been produced since January 2007. To complete the project took two years. Foreign and Russian highly-skilled specialists took part in it. The major investor in this business is SPECTA AG, Switzerland.

 The company' s plant employs state of the art processing techniques as well as energy efficient and ecologically safe systems. It is furnished with modern automatic equipment of European make. 

Russian steel strap production lets Russian consumers be independent from import policy and duty. Convenient location- the center of the European part of Russia — makes solution of logistic problems easier.

The plant is an integrated system of production lines and warehouse facilities with a total area of 11 000 square meters and is planned to manufacture 40000 tons of high-tensile steel strap every year, which will be used for strapping industrial cargos . The latest technologies of world industrial packaging applied at this enterprise provide for high quality of steel straps, its geometric properties: strength, absence of strap twist and bend that makes possible the use of the strap in automatic strapping machines.

The major market segments to sell steel straps are the industries producing ferrous and non-ferrous metals, pipe mills, woodworking factories including those making plywood and chipboard as well as construction industry.

Lines of longitudinal cutting, thermal treatment, coating and a line of patenting are installed at the plant. Domestic high-quality raw-materials are used to manufacture steel straps. There is an in-house laboratory where the strap is tested by modern test methods.

Wide range of high-tensile steel straps has two key brands SPECTA PRIMA and SPECTA FORTE that meet standard requirements. 

• EN 13246:2001- tensile steel strap for packing.
• EN 13247:2002- tensile steel strap for lifting work.
• ASTM D 3953-05 — packing with steel strap and seals.

Strap winding: ribbon, oscillated, Jumbo, SuperJumbo.

• Standard coil weight is up to 50 kg, SuperJumbo coil — up to 600 kg.
• Strap thickness is from 0,5 mm up to 1,27 mm.
• Strap width is from 12 mm up to 32 mm.

Packing:

• Pallets with coils wrapped by stretch film.
• Pallets with coils covered with cardboard box.
• SuperJumbo-2 coils per pallet.
  

To provide strap with corrosion-proof it is either specially painted or zinced or waxed. A wide range of its sizes, strength properties, and protective coatings let you select a steel strap for your cargo according to its weight, shipment distance, technology packaging and storage conditions.
