Steel Strap Description
SPECTA offers a wide range of high-tensile steel straps for automatic and manual packaging of large dimension, massive and heavy-weight cargos at ferrous and non-ferrous mills, woodworking and machine engineering plants, in production of construction materials, everywhere when safety insurance of package wholeness is required during shipment by railway, sea and truck.
SPECTA STEEL STRAPPING
A wide range of steel strapping is produced at a new plant Volga Strap, OOO in Kostroma. High technologies and latest achievements of packaging industry are applied at the plant. It results in high quality of steel strap, namely:
- good geometric properties of the product: absence of strap twist and bend that makesit possible to use it in automatic strapping machines,
- qualitative anticorrosive coating,
- high elongation that ensures safety of packaging in heavy transportation conditions.
Strength and geometric properties of SPECTA steel strapping meet European standards EN 13246:2001, EN 13247:2001, American ASTM D3953-05.
SPECTA strapping has a certificate of conformity to State Standard of Russia.
Surface treatment
For corrosion-proof guarantee strap is either specially painted (black or any other color on customer’s demand) or zinc coated or waxed.
As option customer’s logo can be printed on the strap.
Strap has no rough edges that ensures comfort and use safety.
All types of straps are tested by modern test methods in the plant laboratory.
A wide range of its sizes, strength properties, and protective coatings let you select a steel strap depending on packaging solution, cargo weight, shipment distance, technology packaging and storage conditions.

* Super Jumbo oscillated Coils of 200 – 500 kg with outer Ø 650 - 880 mm can be ordered. Please, note that inner diameter of all coils in order to comply with respective US and European Standards always constitutes 406mm.
At customer’s request and by mutual agreement technical specifications may be altered and may differ from those stated and set forth above.
Packing of steel strap coils:

Pallets with coils wrapped by stretch film.

Pallets with coils covered by cardboard box.

SuperJumbo-2 coils per pallet.
